As it happens, a new Pew Research Center study suggests that, through government policy, America is well on its way to importing a Third World majority population of its own. Assuming a slightly lower immigration rate than we've seen over the last 20 years, the Hispanic population, according to Pew, will triple in the 45 years from 2005 until 2050.

The population projections are quite staggering. Here they are in millions:

It's not just that there's going to be three people where now there are two (so be sure to check around your house for where the additional people are going to stay), it's that who they are will be different.
Whites less, blacks about the same, Asians and Hispanics a lot more.
The split between rich and poor will probably get wider, too.
