10 Questions for the Dalai Lama. Doesn't matter where you stand on the issue of the absorption of Tibet by the Chinese (not for it, myself), it's a great little documentary. Good historical stuff on the Tibetans and the whole lama-choosing process, and the life of the Dalai Lama himself. Wonderful man, and I can see why people are fascinated by him. Free Tibet bumper sticker on my car for years. I'm sure the Chinese don't see him the same way, but fuck 'em. The one thing not in the documentary was the history of the
khampas, the CIA-funded guerrilla movement set up in Tibet after the
anschluss by the Chinese. A whole 'nother film, I guess...
