Members of the Delaware Blues, somewhere in the midst of the War. We're still researching what the uniforms actually were, because there are notations in the regimental histories and soldiers' diaries about Companies A and B wearing the infamous zouave gear, left over from their pre-war days as components of the Delaware political marching-and-chowder societies. Not that we
want to wear zouave gear, mind you; it's typically floppy and expensive. But we need to know what we're actually portraying here. My suspicion is that those fancy duds would not have lasted long after the first few months in the field, and would have been replaced by standard uniforms, but when that actually happened is still to be determined.
